Tax resolution is the process of resolving tax problems. Tax problems are not unusual and happen quite often to well meaning people. We assist our clients in getting “Peace of Mind” regarding their personal and/or professional tax problems. There are many reasons that people get into debt with the IRS. Most of the time, well meaning people are just trying to make ends meet and expect to catch up. Sometimes this works, but sometimes the liability gets too large to handle. This is where our tax resolution services can usually help.
Tax Problems
One of most common reason for the tax problems is the taxpayer has not filed their returns for several years. This can be for a variety of reasons. The most common reason is that the taxpayer believes that if they don’t have the money to pay it is better not to file. This may delay the IRS assessing the tax but the penalty is up to 25% of the tax and continues to compound with interest until the liability is paid. The first thing we must do to resolve any situation is to get the taxpayer current with any non-filed years.
Our Tax Resolution Services Can Help
Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances that will allow for the removal of penalties and the interest that accrued as a result of those penalties. Sometime one of the spouses was not aware of some activity that created the tax problem. They filed married-filling-jointly and have penalties assessed to them. Still others fit the criteria to qualify for one of the “Fresh Start” programs that allow the IRS to forgive a significant amount of actual tax liability.
Regardless of what caused the problem, there is usually something we can do through our tax resolution services. We have over twenty years of experience dealing with tax problems and helping our clients get “Peace of Mind’. We offer a free, non-obligation consultation to review your situation and let you know what your realistic options are.

If you cannot pay your liability in full, the IRS will allow you to make monthly payment. We will assist in getting the lowest monthly payment (you can always pay more if you wish and pay it off at any time).
Not Collectible
Sometimes you just cannot pay anything now but expect to in the future. For this there is the status of “Currently Not Collectible” which basically puts you in “Time-out” for up to a year, at which time the IRS will review your case.
